Dallas Family Photographer

It seems I inadvertently took the summer off from blogging.  Let's face it, I can always find something more fun to do during the summer than sit at the computer.  But here we are, back to fall, and back to the grindstone.  Doesn't feel like Fall outside yet.  Can't we just let the summer continue?  For me the Fall means no more rest until after Christmas.  Heavy sigh.

On a lighter note, I got to spend a little time with some of my favorite people last week.  Eliana Sapio is six months old, so it was time to capture her adorableness again.  What a beauty...and a sweetie!

Luke & Leo.  Proud big brothers.  "I wanna hold her hand! No, I wanna hold her hand!"

Here is a classic example of why I think boutique photography is so much more priceless than a photographer in the box.  If you go to the mall, this image goes in the trash.  For me, this is the image that is going to make you laugh the hardest is twenty years.  No family portrait collection is complete if one of your kids doesn't get captured with their finger up their nose!  Awesome.

What a little love.  She was smiling through the whole shoot.  I just want to stick her in an ice cream cone and eat her!
I love getting to hang out with the Sapio's.  Always a laugh, and never a dull moment.

DFW Baby Photographer

I had a first this past weekend.  I did "Baby's First Birthday" shoot in a rehab.
Beckett Lee Garrison is One Year Old on June 27th, and unfortunately his MiMi had a bad accident. She got moved into a physical rehabilitation center after shattering her ankle, and her family is so cool that they moved the party to her!  Get ready for an overdose of adorable!
Seriously.  If there were puppies in this blog, it couldn't get any sweeter.

Beautiful AND delicious cake from Radford Cakery.  The top is Beckett's "Smash Cake."

"I love my Mimi so much, it wouldn't be a party without her!"

"That cake is for me?"

Beckett with his sweet cousins Maddison & Connor.

A "before" shot with Mom & Dad

"Seriously?  I can just dig in here like this?"

"AWESOME!!!!"

The "after" shot with Mom & Dad.  Best family photo ever!

And, what exactly are you supposed to do with a baby after they dig in their cake?
Take them to the Spa and hose them down, of course!

"But, but, but I was eating CAKE!"

"Okay.  Everything is better with Mom."

"Hey.  This is my Grandma.  I'm kinda crazy about her too!"

"...and my Dad is pret-ty cool."

And last, but not least, my favorite...."FOR NARNIA!!!"

Happy Big ONE year Beckett!  Been a pleasure getting to capture your contagious adorableness all year long.

Dallas Family Photographer

I got to meet a new family this week during a family photography session in the Glen Abbey neighborhood in Dallas this past week.  The Raymond's are newly transplanted in Dallas from Florida. The good news is, this heat shouldn't be that great of a shock.
Charming family with three fun boys.  Here are a few of my favorites from our time together.  My very favorite being the last.  I always love to catch silhouettes in the sunset if possible.

National Wedding Photographer

I had the great privilege to shoot the most Romantic, Picturesque Wedding in East Texas this Memorial Day Weekend.  The Arellano/King Nuptials were something right out of a story book.  These families should consider throwing weddings professionally!  The bride, Lanie has two sisters; The groom, Curtis, has two brothers; There were two beautiful flower girls.  They were all really sweet and charming.  Saturday was a little warm for an outdoor wedding, but there was a nice breeze, an amazing blue sky, and they said their "I do's" under the shade of an enormous old oak tree.  It was breathtaking.  The bride was chauffeured  to the "aisle" over a great expanse of green pasture in an a flawless little antique car.  When the car honked it's "auooga" horn, the wedding guests turned and gasped to see the bride being driven up.  Spectacular.  Here are some of my favorite images from the day.

Congratulations to Lanie & Curtis and both of their sweet families.  Thanks for letting me be a part of such an awesome day.
